When we arrived here, my wife noticed the sign about being short staffed. Although it was a little concerning, we ventured in. This place was packed, and the entire staff from servers, to cooks, and everyone in between were hustling and making it happen! Everyone was doing what needed to be done, and helping each other when they could. The service was great, and the food was great. To top it off, the restrooms were very clean, which usually are let go when staff is spread out. It was obvious someone made sure they were nice and clean, on top of keeping the customers served. We both had the 2-egg breakfast. Eggs are eggs, and the hash browns were great. The kicker was the bacon and sausage, which were both excellent and cooked just right. Those two simple items can make or break a breakfast. We will definitely eat here again next time we are in town. Keep up the great work!

Wanted to dine local for breakfast on our day trip. Decided to head to Hwy 17. Almost missed it so look for the yellow roof and giant rooster out front. Limited seating area, but service was amazing and food was good. You could tell that the management and staff really cared and were passionate. Standard diner breakfast menu with meals valued appropriately. Got the breakfast taco and omelet with coffees 25. Both great and cooked as ordered. The biscuit was amazing . Would recommend and would return.

The new owner has made a good place great, food and service. I recommend the "Hobo Hash" for breakfast but sub Philly cheesesteak for the protein and the eggs over medium. For lunch, the patty melt with swiss is my favorite. Every small town needs a good, old school diner, and we now have one that is legit! Keep up the great work Fernando!

UPDATE 1/14/25: This is my first review since Fernando took over. While I'm waiting for the menu to change to reflect some more authentic Mexican food - street tacos, burritos (breakfast and lunch) - the new cook did me a solid with my mushroom omelette. You can look back at my other photos. Definitely go! For me I order a 4-egg "fluffy" omelette (available when Sam is there Tue-Thu) by itself with mushroom, onion and cheese (he gave me a bonus of green peppers). I ask for salsa on the side so I can add as much Tabasco as I want. Sam nails it everytime. The omelette is never overcooked, still silky. I like it a lot! (I added a new photo of my most recent omelette - notice the consistency - this is why I keep coming back; BTW, try their breakfast burrito) 11/18 - Tried the Philly Sandwich (not on a hoagie roll as stated on the menu), and it was fresh, and had cheese onions and peppers. I would have preferred a hoagie roll, but the Texas toast was okay. Onion rings we're also fresh, but not hand-tossed, so expected results. 3/5 stars The place is a little warm during summer (need better A/C), but I don't generally hang out that long anyway. Staff is always welcoming and friendly, and there are plenty of regulars. From what I've seen, the grill, prep tables and dining room are always clean. Thumbs up! I think with any diner, expectations need to be in balance with what they are trying to be. Some reviews aren't fair in that they didn't address the problem with staff or management, who would make it right.
